Our family’s journey began with Valentino’s Dairy in 1956.

My father, Joseph Gorgacz, worked as a milk delivery person for company owner James “Jimmy” Valentino, from the age of 12 and used his job at Valentino’s to help put himself through college. Upon graduation from Robert Morris University, my father became the accountant for Valentino Cheese & Dairy Company.

In 1986 my father made the decision to purchase Valentino Cheese from Jimmy upon his retirement. From that point, it became our family business and passion.

Valentino Cheese’s product line was originally limited to fresh Ricotta and Basket Cheese for many years. Once our family took over the business, the product line expanded into frozen Manicotti, Cavatelli and our biggest seller, Ravioli. Our products can be found in several grocery stores in Lawrence County.

In 2022 we moved to a new and bigger location at 2223 State Street in Union Township. Our new location has allowed us to expand our business with a retail area open to the public.

We’ve been a staple in the New Castle and surrounding community for 75 years and look forward to continuing to serve the best cheese and pasta for years to come.
